Een leuke stad om een keer naar te kijken is de hoofdstad van Schotland genaamd Glasgow. Wanneer je Glasgow bezoek is het goed om een keer een kijke te nemen op de volgende 3 plekjes.

Linn park

Linn park is een park dat in het zuiden van Glasgow zit. Het is gevestigd in de wijk van Cathcart. Het is een van de 2 grootste parken van Glasgow en is maarliefst 82 hectaren groot. Het park heeft veel mooie wandel routes en heeft veel waanzinnige fontijnen in het park.
Linn park is a pak that is located on the southern tip of Glasgow. it's located in the suburb of Cathcart, it's one of the 2 largest park in Glasgow and has the size of 82 hectares. The park has some very nice walking routes joined by a bunch of beautiful fountains.
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum

De kelvingrove kunst gallerij en museum is te vinden op de Argyle Street in het western gedeelte van Glasgow. Het museum is geopend in het jaar 1901 en is sinds 2006 weer open omdat het 3 jaar geleden werd gesloten voor vernieuwing. Wat dit museum zo speciaal maakt is dat het niet alleen maar schilderijen heeft, maar ook heel veel oude skeleten of zelfs hele mooie standbeelden van verschillende soorten dieren. De kunst uit dit muesum zijn vooral gebaseerde op Europese kunstwerken van onderanderen, Rembrandt van Rijn, Claude Monet en
zelfs Vincent van Gogh.
The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is located on the Argyle street in the westen part of Glasgow. The museum has been opened in the year of 1901, but had to go under refurbishment in the year of 2003 and has been reopened in the year of 2006. but what makes this museum so special? The special aspect is that the museum is not just paintings, there are also lots of beautiful statues and special statues made of different kinds of animals. The art in this museum is all based on European artists like the Dutch artist Rembrandt van Rijn and Vincent van Gogh. But also the french artist Claude Monet.

In dit gebouw bevindt zit ook de Amerikaanse Senaat en het Huis van Afgevaardigden.

In de National Mall staat een hele grote toren, ook wel het Washington Monument genoemd. Dit monument is ontworpen voor de eerste president van Amerika, George Washington en is maar liefst 169 meter hoog. Als je goed naar het monument kijkt kun je zien dat er twee verschillende kleuren zijn. Dit is gekomen omdat er tijdens het bouwen van The Washington Monument, twee soorten marmer zijn gebruikt. The Washington Monument is ook van binnen te bezoeken en je kunt gemakkelijk met de lift omhoog gaan

De historische wijk van Georgetown is gelegen aan het water van Potomac River. Het leuke van deze unieke wijk is dat het echt een hele historische wijk is, met de architectuur uit de 18e en 19e eeuw. De wijk is ontstaan rond 1751 en is al heel vaak uitgeroepen tot een van de populairste wijken van de stad. De wijk heeft in de loop van alle jaren vele beroemde inwoners gehad, zoals John. F. Kennedy en zelfs Elisabeth Taylor. Wat Georgetown zo uniek maakt is dat het allemaal heel gemakkelijk te belopen is, er zijn veel leuke winkels en restaurants die zeker voor een leuk uitstapje zullen zorgen

Tijdens mijn tweede reis naar Austalië heb ik altijd een keer een quokka willen zien. Een quokka is een klein beestje dat familie is van de kangeroe. Wat de quakka zo uniek maakt, is dat ze nergens anders meer in het wild leven behalve op dit eiland. Ook staan ze bekend als '' the happiest animal on the world'' door hun leuke lach en de gezichtsuitdrukking die ze hebben.
Toen ik eenmaal was aangekomen was er niks anders wat ik wou doen, dan er eindelijk eentje te ontmoeten. Ik heb opgezocht hoe ik er naar toe kon gaan, en kwam tot de conclusie dat ik tickets moest boeken bij het VVV in Perth. Bij het kopen van tickets kreeg ik ook te horen dat Rottnest Island bekend staat om zijn mooie fietstochten en heb daarom meteen een fiets bij gehuurd, ook met helm want dat is in Australië verplicht.
Toen ik eenmaal was aangekomen was er niks anders wat ik wou doen, dan er eindelijk eentje te ontmoeten. Ik heb opgezocht hoe ik er naar toe kon gaan, en kwam tot de conclusie dat ik tickets moest boeken bij het VVV in Perth. Bij het kopen van tickets kreeg ik ook te horen dat Rottnest Island bekend staat om zijn mooie fietstochten en heb daarom meteen een fiets bij gehuurd, ook met helm want dat is in Australië verplicht.
Op dag 2 om 8 uur 's ochtends was het eindelijk zo ver. ik ga naar Rottnest Island. Ik moest me melden bij de haven van Perth. Toen we waren vertrokken werden wij gewaarschuwd voor het feit dat er veel hoge golven waren op de Indische Oceaan, en dat het dus erg ging schommelen. Dit was geen leuke ervaring omdat ik nog heel erg last had van mijn jetlag. Ik wil daarom ook als tip geven, dat als je een tripje naar Rottnest Island maakt, zorg er dan voor dat je geen last meer hebt van je jetlag.
Eenmaal op Rottnest Island is het echt een heel speciaal eiland. Je hebt de keuze om verschillende lengte van fietstochten te maken: een van 3, 5 of 10 kilometer. Persoonlijk heb ik gekozen voor de fietstocht van 10 kilometer, zodat ik het hele eiland kon zien. Tijdens deze tocht heb je mooie uitzichten van mooie stranden tot uitzichten op de Indische Oceaan en het mooie landschap van het eiland.
Hou natuurlijk ook in de gaten dat je onderweg vaak langs de weg quokka's kunt vinden. Quokka's houden erg veel van mensen en zullen zeker niet van je weg rennen. Als je een blaadje uit de boom pakt en je daarna op de grond gaat zitten zullen quocka's vaak het blaadje komen eten in jouw gezelschap.
